Some common questions...

What do we provide?

Tom Collins arrives with bar staff, glassware, eskies, ice and all barware associated with making your delicious cocktails and drinks. We have a few decorations which we use, only if they fit your style! We highly recommend chatting with your florist to create something epic to go inside or next to the van for impact.

What drinks can you serve?

Beer and cider, wine, champagne, any soft drinks and mineral water & up to three cocktails (approved by us). Do let us know if there is something you would like to serve that is not listed here.

Can you make cocktails?

Yes we love to! Choose up to three cocktails to serve at your event and we will shake/stir them up. We have a long, long list for you to choose from or suggest your own!

What kind of glassware do you have?

Our wine glasses are crystal Stolzle Weinland. Our tumblers, champagne, talls, martini’s and champagne coupes are glass.

Do you offer champagne towers or cocktail towers?

Absolutely we do! We offer 3 or 4 tier cocktail towers (espresso, marg, sours, french martini’s, porn stars) & 3, 4 or 5 tier champagne towers. Enquire for pricing when requesting your quote.

How long does bump in/bump out take?

We arrive around 1.5 hours before the bar service commences (sometimes the day prior). Bump out at the commencement of bar service takes no longer than an hour.

Do you offer table service?

We certainly can! Let us know when inquiring with us so we can provide this as part of your quote. It may not require an additional staff member (which means it most likely won’t cost any more), depending on your guest numbers and beverage requirements. Table glassware is additional and will be quoted separately if required.

Can you provide a cool room?

Yes, we have two cool rooms available for hire! We require that you hire a cool room for your event if you’re having over 60 guests. Our eskies do hold quite a bit, however to keep everything cold enough we require that you hire a cool room. The cool room is best located as close as possible to the bar to avoid delays in drink service when we need to re-stock.

How does it work with alcohol supply?

Option 1. You supply your own drinks and Tom Collins serves them, (this is the most popular option and we’ll help you with an estimate so you know exactly what and how much to purchase).

Option 2. Tom Collins supplies the drinks at a cost (this would need to be calculated upon further information with your requirements).

Can Tom Collins party in the park?

Yes! You are required to obtain relevant permissions and permits from council. We can assist with this process if required.

What are Tom Collins dimensions?

Tom is approximately 2.5m high, 2.2m wide and 3.6m (12ft) long.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes!

Are your bar staff trained?

Yes all of our bar staff have RSA’s, extensive experience working in bars, a great knowledge of cocktails and are super friendly so your guests will get great customer service.

Where are you based?

We are based in Melbourne, Australia. We love a road-trip and are happy to travel across the state and sometimes even interstate!

Do you offer a dry hire option for corporate events?

Absolutely! We’ve worked with various corporate customers to provide van hire only (no staff, glassware etc) for events. Pricing starts @ $950+GST per day for this option.

How much does it cost to hire Tom Collins?

Our pricing starts at $1550 depending on your event location and number of guests.
